Vibrant Life

“My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” Isaiah 32:18 (ESV)

Think back to the time when you were young and nothing worried you. Carefree because others were responsible. Think back to those days when you imagined a distant future of adulthood and you could have anything you wanted and no one would tell you what to do. Now consider that you never dreamed that you would arrive at the place you are today. Thank God for his guidance and peace.

“But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.”
Isaiah 43:1-3 (KJV)

How wonderful is the presence of the Lord! He forms us. He calls us. He redeemed us! He walks with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Thank God for his presence and care.

“For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” John 6:33 (NAS)

Bread, eaten at a party with a snack dip. Bread, smeared with butter and jam. Bread, served with pasta at a restaurant. Bread, thrown to ducks at the lake. Bread, the body of our Lord, broken on Calvary and giving eternal life to those who choose to receive it.
Thank God for his sacrifice and the Bread of Life.

Dear Father, thank you for your grace and mercy. Empower us with a passion for you that keeps our daily praise and worship fresh and vibrant. This I pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN
