Henry Ward Beecher wrote something along these lines, “The unthankful heart discovers no mercies; But the thankful heart will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessing.”
Dear Father thank you for the greatest gift of all . . . your mercy and grace. Thank you for the privilege and opportunity to give you thanks. Enable us to entrust our troubles to you. Empower us with the attitude and spirit of thanksgiving throughout the year. In Jesus’ name. AMEN
