T’was the day after Christmas and all through the house
Everyone was exhausted, yes, tired and worn out.
The turkey was eaten, the dressing all gone.
The presents un- wrapped, the garbage put out.
Christmas! How we love it, how glad when it’s gone.
Too much work, too much food, too much . . .
The silence is golden but the celebrations were grand.
Family and friends and church and such . . .
God willing, a New Year is coming with Christmas at the end.
Glory to God! Let the good news and joy begin.

O what fun it is to dream of Christmas on the way.

Dear Father, thank you for a wonderful year. May we find rest in you and the energy to praise and glorify you for all we have seen and heard at Christmas. This I pray in the name of Jesus our Lord. AMEN
