“If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.”
2 Corinthians 5:13-15 (NIV)
What a great concept! Not to concern oneself with the opinion of others. It doesn’t matter what the opposition thinks or says about us if our motives are right. Some might say, “Much learning has made you crazy!” Others might say, “You’re a fanatic!” Yet, our zeal can be commended and defended if it is for Christ and his Church.
His love for us compels us! He loved us so much that He gave his life for us. So, when we get right down to it, Christ is out of his mind in love with us. Then, why should we be ashamed to be out of our mind in love with him?
Our love for him compels us! We are convinced that since He died for us, we should live for him. We love him that much! Don’t you?
“Come, almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return, and never,
Nevermore Thy temples leave;
These we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray, and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.”
