The war between science and the Bible has been raging in Western societies for hundreds of years. Science claims that humans are a small and insignificant part of the universe. And for most scientists, there is no place for God in their knowledge. To them, it is unscientific to give God a voice. This “scientific” influence, since elementary school, has created hearing problems for many people and created many atheists.
Hearing God isn’t difficult, however, when I consider that the Kingdom of God is among us. In addition, God permeates the whole of reality in the universe. He is right here beside me. And I have his Word in my hands, mind and heart. He will never contradict his Word.
If I am having difficulty hearing him, perhaps the issue is with me and not him.
Dear Father, thank you for your Son and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Thank you for speaking to me through him. Forgive me for not listening as attentively as I should. Enable me to listen to him and find the answers to my questions through your Word. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN
