“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 (NLT)
When we survey all the beauty of God’s creation, we may wonder how heaven could be more beautiful. The sunshine glistening on new fallen snow. Leaves glowing in the fall. Landscapes that take your breath away. Waterfalls that relieve stress and restore calm. Mountain ranges that are so majestic. Birds of every species and color sweetly singing praise to their creator. Could it get any better?
Yes! It can. God’s kingdom rule and authority makes it better. Obedience to God makes it better. Love for the environment has its place and the creatures should be appreciated. Loving the Creator, however, is more important. Accepting and obeying his will is love in action. Yielding to his rule and authority is the highest form of love and praise.
Dear Father, thank you for your grace and mercy. Forgive us our sins and deliver us from evil. May your Kingdom be a reality and may your will truly be done in our lives everyday. Enable us to love you and give you the highest praise. This I pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN
Let us praise God for his Kingdom and live under its authority,
