“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)
Here is both a promise from God and a believer’s statement of faith. The person who lives in God’s secret place will live under the protection of God. What a promise! Carefully consider the implication of this truth. When this promise truly impacts our mind and soul it grows our faith.
Like the Psalmist, we can emphatically state that God has promised protection to the person who lives in His secret place. Then follow that up with a personal commitment of faith . . . “Lord, you are my God. You are my refuge and fortress. I am trusting in you.”
Dear Father, thank you for being our God and Protector. We are trusting you as our refuge and fortress. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN
