God’s Preparations

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” — these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. (1Corinthians 2:9-11 ESV)

Look around you. See the majestic mountains overflowing with color. Consider the beaches glistening in the sun. Survey the winter snow and ice sickles. Wonder at the power of volcanoes. What about the fruit trees in full blossom or sagging with fresh fruit. How about the wheat and corn swaying in the wind. Or pumpkins in green fields as far as the eye can see. Yet God had all these prepared for humanity before the human was formed from the dust.

The songs of the early morning birds. The music of Mozart, Elvis, Ronnie Milsap, or even the church choir. The chatter of the chipmunk. The quiet of the midnight. The awakening sounds of a new day. The roar of crashing waves. The booming of thunder. The whisper of the wind in the afternoon. Wonderful sounds, yet we cannot imagine God’ symphony still to come.

Your wildest imagination. My wildest imagination. Dreams that cover the earth. Big ideas that would bless the Church and mankind. God’s preparations for our future exceed all our expectations and ideas.

Apostle Paul asserted that humans have never seen, heard, nor even imagined the marvels prepared for those who love God. Yet, the Spirit of God has revealed such marvels to believers because the Spirit investigates and reveals the unlimited extremes of God.

The Spirit of God enables us to see true beauty, hear truly wonderful sounds, and experience marvelous things beyond our understanding. And for our eternal future, He has prepared a truly delicious banquet, a spectacular panorama of beautiful scenery, an awe-inspiring array of sounds, and unimaginable aspects of eternal life that only the redeemed will ever know. He has done it all, only for those who love him. Aren’t you glad that you do?

Dear Father, thank you for preparing us a place in your house. Empower us with your Spirit to receive and comprehend your revelations. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be encouraged today as you anticipate God’s preparations,
