“And we all, who with unveiled
faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with
ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (II
Corinthians 3:18 NIV)

was so glorious that Moses’ face glistened as he received it. And that Word
only ministered condemnation. Yet, the people could see the glory reflected in

And “only in Christ is it taken away” because “whenever
anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away” (vss. 14 & 16). And our
hope in Christ gives us great boldness through the freedom of the Spirit. Because
the Spirit has made Christ plain to us, our faces are not veiled. The glory of
Christ is not hidden from us! And his glory is continually transforming us.

What a wonderful thought! We “are
being transformed into his image!” And this transformation occurs by the glory
of the Lord and Spirit. His is a glory that does not fade, but rather gets
stronger and more glorious in righteousness.

Dear Father, thank you for your transforming glory.
Empower us to continually contemplate the Lord’s glory that we might
continually be transformed. This I pray in the name of Jesus. AMEN
