Courage Today with Dr. Sy Smith is a vibrant ministry rooted in the transformative message of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We embrace the profound truth that God loved the world so much that He sacrificed His only Son, offering eternal life to all who believe. Through the teachings of Dr. Smith, we celebrate the victory of Christ’s resurrection and the hope that comes from knowing He is alive and coming back for His followers. Our mission is to spread this message of reconciliation and hope to all nations, inviting individuals to experience the fullness of life in Christ.

Dr. Sylvester Smith
Sylvester Smith, DMin, has been a pastor for nearly 50 years and is a scholar in pastoral theology and biblical studies currently serving a congregation in Anniston, AL. In addition, since 2009, he has taught for Lee University Online in Cleveland, TN. In both his pastoral tenure and his university work, he has investigated the biblical path to the most effective spiritual growth practices which increase faithfulness, obedience, and perseverance.
“There is no biblical ‘formula of five easy steps’ to perform,” states Dr. Smith. “Imitating Christ in attitude and perspective is the first issue for every believer. And following his commands is the next one. These are foundational and perfected through daily practice as one grows in the Lord. If there is any biblical formula to follow it is contained in three words: faithfulness, obedience, and perseverance.”
