The Strength of God

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” Isaiah 40:28-29 (ESV)

Is it possible that sometimes I sink into a rut of unbelief? Have I forgotten that my God is the Only Wise and Eternal God? Perhaps I need to constantly remind myself that I worship and serve the Creator of the universe who never gets tired or weary. Perhaps I deserve this challenge from the Lord.

Consider the sovereign, all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful God. Consider his majesty, his love, his sacrifice and his grace.
Consider the extent of his understanding. These divine attributes need to be engraved on my heart and reviewed regularly.

Dear Father, thank you for the hope I have in you. Forgive me, O Lord, forgive me. Empower me, O Lord, and increase my strength. I pray this in Jesus’ name. AMEN

Let us praise God for who he is and live in his strength,

Pastor Smith
