Expecting the world to treat us fairly because we are Christians is a little like the socialite who thought the bull wouldn’t chase her because she was a vegetarian.
Let us refuse to be naïve and immature and let us be encouraged because Jesus has conquered the world, and all things worldly. Through him we are victorious. His victory enables us to persevere to the end.
Dear Father, thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you for including us in your family. Deliver us from the temptations and evil. Empower us with faith. In Jesus’ name. AMEN
