“There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us.” 1 Corinthians 12:6 (NLT)
God has formed each of us as it pleases him. In fact, he has given each of us specific expertise with a unique role based on his formation. What is our purpose? How are we to function? God decided precisely what he wanted you and me to do in our lives. He planned precisely the service he wanted from you and me. Then he shaped us individually into the person who could achieve his will. We are who we are and how we are because the same God made each of us to achieve specific ministry in our lives.
In The Purpose Driven Life, author Rick Warren writes, “You are not an assembly-line product, mass produced without thought. You are a custom-designed, one-of-a-kind, original masterpiece.” What a marvelous concept! Think about it carefully.
All of who you are, your abilities, interests, talents, gifting, personality, and experiences were given to you for the purpose of glorifying God. Examine them closely and consider God’s will for your life. These various elements of your identity are evidence that you are uniquely equipped for the Master’s purpose. In addition, they will help you discover the purpose you are to achieve for the Master.
Dear Father, thank you for you plan and your purpose. Thank you for including us in your plan. Empower us to understand how and why you have formed us. Enable us to achieve all that you desire. In Jesus’ name. AMEN
Let us praise God for his plan and live to achieve his purpose,
