“Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NASB)
Sometimes we are confronted by situations that are fearful and cause for trembling. That is the wrong time to look for courage and strength. Both must already be in our arsenal before the situation confronts us.
Perhaps we have all experienced times when we feared and trembled. In retrospect, we discerned that we had not been prepared in the courageous strength department. Then we recalled that God goes with us and we experienced a “V-8” moment.
God’s personal promise to you and me is, “I will not fail you or forsake you.” What a promise! It is a “yes” promise! It is an “AMEN” promise!!!
Booker T. Washington said, “Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed.”
No matter the obstacles we face, God goes with us and will never fail us. God goes with us and will never forsake us. God goes with us. Now, if God is with us, who can defeat us?
Dear Father, thank you for your promise to never fail or forsake us. Empower us with your grace to overcome all obstacles. I pray this in Jesus’ name. AMEN
