“We know what real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. And so we also ought to give up our lives for our Christian brothers and sisters. But if anyone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need and refuses to help — how can God’s love be in that person? The old adage applies: “Actions speak louder than words.”
The Father’s promise in John 3:16 would lose its value if there wasn’t a Cross on Calvary.
We know and recognize real love because of Calvary’s booming voice.
Words are cheap until actions verify their truth.
Dear Father, thank you for your love. Empower us to love truly and actively. This I pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN
