Aren’t you glad that you serve the God of hope? Not the god of distress and depression. Not the god of fear and failure. Rather, our God is the one who inspires us with hope. Hope in the midst of troubles! Hope in the midst sorrow! Hope when disease comes! Hope when circumstances would bring despair! Hope for today! Hope for tomorrow! Hope for eternity!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our God fills us with joy and gives us peace through it all. Our God fills us with such belief that by the Holy Spirit our hope overflows. Glory to his holy name!
And the great Apostle proclaims this marvelous blessing upon all those who reads his words. Aren’t you glad you read them? Consider the blessing of an increasing faith that keeps the flood of hope flowing.
Dear Father, thank you for the encouraging words of your great Apostle, Paul. Inspire us to live in hope everyday. Enable us daily to share this hope with others. Empower us by the Holy Spirit so that our hope is real and not superficial. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN
