“Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. And in the same way, you masters must treat your slaves right. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.” Ephesians 6:8-9 (NLT)
“Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites who can get away with evil.” Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)
“And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as foreigners here on earth.” 1 Peter 1:17 (NLT)
From these Scriptures it is clear that all humans are equal in the eyes of God AND the only special status available comes through the “Master in heaven.”
Dear Father, thank you for the special status we enjoy through faith in Christ Jesus. Fill us with Holy Spirit power that we may boldly witness of your grace. This I pray in the name of Jesus. AMEN
