The Master In Heaven

“The rich and the poor have this in common: The LORD made them both.” Proverbs 22:2 (NLT)

“For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too.” Matthew 5:45 (NLT)

“We are merely human beings like yourselves! We have come to bring you the Good News that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. In earlier days he permitted all the nations to go their own ways, but he never left himself without a witness. There were always his reminders, such as sending you rain and good crops and giving you food and joyful hearts.” Acts 14:15-17 (NLT)

“It is wrong to show favoritism when passing judgment.” Proverbs 24:23 (NLT)

“Showing partiality is never good, yet some will do wrong for something as small as a piece of bread.” Proverbs 28:21 (NLT)

“There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on sinning — for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good — for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism. God will punish the Gentiles when they sin, even though they never had God’s written law. And he will punish the Jews when they sin, for they do have the law. For it is not merely knowing the law that brings God’s approval. Those who obey the law will be declared right in God’s sight.” Romans 2:9-13 (NLT)

“Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. And in the same way, you masters must treat your slaves right. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.” Ephesians 6:8-9 (NLT)

“Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites who can get away with evil.” Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)

“And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites when he judges. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of him during your time as foreigners here on earth.” 1 Peter 1:17 (NLT)

From these Scriptures it is clear that all humans are equal in the eyes of God AND the only special status available comes through the “Master in heaven.”

Dear Father, thank you for the special status we enjoy through faith in Christ Jesus. Fill us with Holy Spirit power that we may boldly witness of your grace. This I pray in the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be encouraged today in the Master in heaven,
