“I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God’s unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people.” (Psalm 52:8-9 NLT)
What great affirmations! This is a great example of good and proper self-talk. No matter what the enemy is doing to disturb and hinder our progress, we need to think of ourselves as “thriving in the house of God.”
When troubles come and storms rage around us, then affirm that we “will always trust in God’s unfailing love!” He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. So then He is always with us! And whom shall we fear when God is so near?
Consider all the blessings God has bestowed on us up to now. Since he cares so much, he will keep us through the storm. Since he cares so much, he will hide us in the safety his pavilion. Since he cares so much, we may trust in his good name among his faithful people.
Perhaps it isn’t always easy to commit our concerns in God’s care, but we need to constantly affirm our trust in his name and presence, knowing that he rewards those who diligently seek him.
Dear Father, we will praise you forever for what you have done. We will trust in you no matter what. This I affirm in the name of Jesus. AMEN
Be courageous and thrive in God’s house,
