“So speak and so act as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty.” (James 2:12 NAS)
We live in a wonderful country where we take freedom for granted. Perhaps we should be more careful with our liberty. Our freedom is more about our responsibilities than what we are free to do.
Carefully consider the quotes below.
“For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” -The Apostle Paul, Galatians 5:13 (NAS)
“The basic tenet of freedom is perhaps less in what we are free to do than in what we are free not to do.” -Eric Hoffer
“It is when we forget ourselves that we do things that are remembered.” – unknown author
“Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.” -The Apostle Peter, 1Peter 2:16 (NAS)
Dear Father, thank you for judging us by your law of liberty. Grant to us the boldness to use our freedom to love and serve others. I pray this in the name of Jesus. AMEN
Be courageous today in the law of liberty,
