A Forgiving Spirit

“And when ye
stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also
which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive,
neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
(Mark 11:25-26 KJV)

Aloha from Hawaii!
Life is an adventure. Today is a new day. It is a perpetual new territory. We
have never seen the events and scenery of today. It is an opportunity to risk a
little more. We will never see this day again. Something to carefully consider.

In life’s adventure,
people will take advantage of us. We will make mistakes. We might make wrong
turns. We might say embarrassing words or act badly. There may be sorrow and
sadness, but there will also be joy and gladness. Sometimes we will encounter storms
and trouble, but we will also enjoy victory and peace.

Yes, life has its
ups and downs. The practice of forgiveness is a key to a more enjoyable,
enriching adventure. The pursuit of happiness may begin with a forgiving
spirit. It is important to forgive others and ourselves.

In this fast-paced
adventure called life, I am learning that holding on to frustrations and
irritants cause more pain. The longer I hold onto them the worse they become.
Forgiveness sets me free to enjoy life!

Dear Father, thank
you for your forgiving spirit. Enable us to truly forgive those who trespass
against us. And we ask that you forgive us our trespasses too. I pray this in
the name of Jesus. AMEN

Be strong and
courageous today exercising forgiveness,
