Encouraging Others To Achieve Their Mission

“Two are better
than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall,
one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For
he has no one to help him up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
(NKJ)
In the beginning,
God said that it wasn’t good for Adam to be alone (Gen. 2:18). This
statement wasn’t about Adam’s loneliness, but about his inability to achieve
God’s directives (Gen.
1:28
). Adam needed a partner to help him achieve his divinely appointed
purpose and mission.
Naturally, I want a
partner who is in agreement with my values, purpose and mission so that we are
on the same page, pursuing the same goals. And when we are working together to
achieve the same purpose, synergism takes over. As a result, I am able to achieve
more — because of focused, cooperative team effort — than I can achieve
alone.
In order to achieve
His purpose and mission of global evangelization, Christ called twelve people
to help him. He assembled a team of disciples, to whom he passed his vision and
passion. By explanation and example, Christ taught them to do ministry that would
ultimately achieve His goal.
In the context of my
calling to join Christ in his mission, I carefully consider my own mission,
purpose, and goals. I have decided that his example is a good one to follow.
There are other likeminded individuals who also want to achieve the Lord’s will
in their own lives. And I always need partners to share the journey and be
there when it gets tough. Everyone does!
Dear Father, thank
you for choosing me to join you in your mission. For your glory, grant that I
may also find others to help me achieve all your directives. I pray this in the
name of Jesus. AMEN
We have a MISSION —
ENCOURAGE others — ACHIEVE much for God,
